Raider School Community,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation during the opening days of this
school year. Your support, feedback and genuine concern for our students, faculty and staff have been
remarkable. We always have all children and this community at the center of our decisions.
The PA DOH has reinstituted masking in K-12 schools beginning Tuesday, September 7, 2021. The
indication is that this mitigation layer will be revisited in October.
As stated in our approved Health and Safety Plan, the District will comply with all orders. The approved
Health and Safety Plan is posted on the District website.
Face coverings include a mask or a face shield. The school has a supply on hand to dispense if one is
needed. We also recognize that wearing a mask or shield may be difficult for some students.
Accommodations for students with medical exemptions will be made in cooperation with the student’s
health care provider, building administration and the school clinical staff. Supporting documentation
should be provided directly from the health care provider to the school nurse.
We have worked very hard to assemble our students back in the bricks and mortar of our classrooms.
Our goal is to remain in the in-person model. Our team agrees that our students thrive in in-person
instructional settings. We feel that we have met the students and parents in the areas that we could make
adjustments. I encourage you to help us keep our students in the classrooms with their teachers...where
teaching, learning, social interaction and the development of the whole child can take place.
Please read the information located in the links below.
As always...GO RAIDERS!
Respectfully,
Raymond C. Omer
Acting Superintendent
